Some Publications Seem Next to Impossible to Break Into

Some of the literary publications out there seem nearly impossible to get published in. An acquaintance of mine asked me about one particular journal and was surprised I haven't been published in it yet. I've submitted two stories to them and both were rejected. I did get a boost in my confidence, though. One of the rejected stories was accepted elsewhere--unedited.

Someone told me once that Stephen King gets satisfaction from rejecting publishers who rejected him when he first started out. I may not reach his level of recognition, but it sure feels good to dream.

Now I need to find a publication that will accept my most recently rejected work.
